the daily routine

Is it strange that I am very excited about going home this weekend? College is great and I do love it, but there's only so much of The Huddle I can take before being a little sick.

I'll be taking a bus down (it's only $25!) which will give me time to knock out the math homework I'll have to do and I guess I'll brainstorm a little for my research paper on societal progress in the United States. It promises to be an interesting paper to write and as a budding Political Science major, I'm weirdly pumped to write it. That and my professor thinks I'm blessed with amazing writing skills so it doesn't hurt to get my ego even more inflated. But I like that I'll have a few hours to be on my own. I love exploring on my own. I did it when I met Ish here in Austin a few weeks ago. I guess I just really like feeling independent.

It's my brother's birthday dinner/party this weekend which is the main reason I'm heading up to Rockwall. The little guy (actually he's getting quite tall) is now 15. I just realized I didn't get him any sort of birthday gift. My mere presence should be enough though. Actually, I'll end up getting him something from good ol' St. Edward's like a Nike Pro or an Under Armour shirt. He's pretty fond of those.

In other news, I've spent the last 2 days bidding on Arsenal Highbury jerseys. Yesterday I lost a heartbreaker because I didn't realize I was betting in pounds and not dollars. That was a shock. I'm betting on another one right now.....3 minutes. 2 mins and 26 seconds. I'm getting really nervous. Oh shit I really want this damn jersey because I want to wear it to this Irish pub some guy told me about. How freaking legit would I look in it? 1 minute and 47 seconds. I'm not going to win it. I just f'n know it. 1 minute. MOTHERFUCKER. I didn't get it. It's probably okay because I can now get my brother a birthday present with that money. Fuck whoever won it though. 0/2 now.

Well I guess I'm going to go get him that gift now since I don't feel like being online anymore after another disappointing eBay day. I'll blog this weekend while I'm at home for sure.

P.S. If you have a PS3, I'll be rockin' that shit this weekend. My name is inHighbury. Clever huh? I'd like to think so too.
