armed with a cup of fruit

5 weeks. I've gone through 5 relatively easy weeks of college. The transition has not been tough. The studying has not been intense. The writing has not been as crucial as I once thought it would be. I must say, at this point, college is pain-free. I'm having a much easier time than Blair Waldorf for example.

Now, there's 10 more weeks. Plus finals. Gnarly.

I have a new found obsession with fruit. I guess it's because I never had this much access to fresh fruit before. It's healthy.

I have also developed a sick obsession with Snickers Ice Cream Bars. They are anything but healthy.

My academic advisor, Curt, will be thrilled to know that I'm coming to such a happy medium and balance in my life. It's all about centering yourself, right?

Anyways, college is just as you would expect it to be. The freedom one gains in college leads to crazy nights, more sleeping in class, and breaking the weight scales. For those who say it isn't like the movies, you're a liar. It's exactly as it's portrayed on the silver screen. You really can go out each night and party if you so wish. It's weird to imagine but at the same time, I'm glad Hollywood finally gave me some truth.

Going onto music, the new Brand New album came out this week officially. Daisy doesn't get me going quite like 2006's The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me, but it does have some pretty cool tunes.

This is how I rank the tracks:
1. Bed
2. You Stole
3. Noro
4. Vices (this is my workout song!!)
5. Daisy
6. At the Bottom
7. Bought a Bride
8. In a Jar
9. Sink
10. Gasoline
11. Be Gone (I love the intro but then after that, meh)

Here's a glimpse at "You Stole":
EDIT: The link wasn't working as I had hoped. I still need some help in the html department.

Even though it doesn't match up to their previous efforts, I can enjoy the new album and I cannot wait to see them at La Zona Rosa next month. Don't worry, pictures and review will be up. And after that, I'm going to go see Regina Spektor at Stubb's BBQ.

Monday might just consist of Mixtape Monday. After all, don't we all need new music?
